Your first dive should feel safe, personal, and unforgettable. At Paros Elite, our Discover Scuba Diving experience introduces you to the underwater world gradually, with clear guidance, personal attention, and no pressure to move faster or deeper than feels right for you.
No previous experience is required. Your instructor explains every step, stays beside you in the water, and chooses the appropriate progression according to your comfort, confidence, ability, and the conditions on the day.
Joining certified friends or family? You can share the same boat trip and enjoy the sea together — each with an experience suited to their level.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE
What to Expect
PADI theory and registration are included in your Discover Scuba Diving experience. At the Dive Center, Paros Elite provides your PADI access/registration so you can complete the required theory during the 09:00–10:00 morning preparation period on the day of your activity. No separate purchase or additional charge is required.
09:00 — Meet at Paros Elite Dive CenterMeet us at the Dive Center at 09:00. From 09:00 to 10:00, we fit and check your equipment, complete the required forms, provide your PADI access/registration and help you complete the required theory. This is pre-departure preparation, not the dive briefing. The boat departs at 10:00.
On Board — Your Introduction to DivingThe dive briefing takes place onboard after the 10:00 departure, before your dive — not at the Dive Center. Your instructor explains the equipment, breathing underwater, communication and the simple skills you will practise, in a relaxed, easy-to-understand way.
First Moments in the WaterWe enter the water gradually. You first spend time swimming, becoming familiar with the equipment, and enjoying the sensation of breathing underwater. There is no rush — your instructor stays beside you and gives you all the time you need.
Shallow-Water SkillsOnce you feel comfortable, we move into very shallow water and practise a few simple essential scuba skills together. This gradual familiarisation builds confidence before the dive continues.
Your First Real DiveWhen the skills are complete and both you and your instructor are comfortable proceeding, the experience continues into a genuine guided dive. The maximum permitted depth is up to 12 metres, but reaching 12 metres is never an objective or requirement. We progress gradually, and your instructor chooses the appropriate depth according to your comfort, confidence, ability, professional assessment, and the conditions on the day.
Loved your first dive?If conditions, availability, and the day’s schedule allow — and with your instructor’s approval — you may be able to join us for a second dive during the same trip. The additional dive is €60 per person; simply ask your instructor.
More Than Your First DiveYour Discover Scuba experience is part of our approximately four-hour boat trip, departing at 10:00 and returning around 14:00. Between time in the water, relax on board, enjoy fresh fruit and bottled water, and take in the coastline of Paros. If you would also like to snorkel during the trip, let us know in advance so we can prepare the appropriate equipment.

Our 11-meter dive boat features a solid hull for smooth and stable access to the sea. It’s spacious, shaded, and purpose-built for comfort — making it the perfect place to begin your diving journey.
Fresh fruit and bottled water are available on board for all guests, including divers and accompanying snorkelers.
CERTIFIED DIVERS
Coming as a Group?
Not everyone needs to dive to enjoy the sea — your friends can join as snorkelers and explore the surface world, with mask and fins included.
Or, if they’re certified divers, they can join the same boat trip with our guided double dive package — and share one of their dives with you, side by side.

Do I need previous diving experience, and what is the minimum age?
No previous diving experience is needed. Discover Scuba Diving is available from age 10, with direct professional supervision and progression suited to your comfort and ability.
When do I complete the PADI theory, and is it included?
PADI theory and registration are included in the price. Paros Elite provides your access/registration at the Dive Center on the morning of your activity, and you complete the required theory during 09:00–10:00. There is no separate purchase or additional charge.
What happens between 09:00 and 10:00?
We meet at the Dive Center at 09:00 for equipment fitting and checks, the required forms and your PADI theory. This is pre-departure preparation, not the dive briefing. The boat departs at 10:00.
When does the dive briefing take place?
Your instructor gives the dive briefing onboard after departure, before your dive. It does not take place at the Dive Center.
How deep can I dive?
The maximum DSD depth is 12 metres under direct professional supervision. Reaching that depth is not a goal: your instructor adjusts the dive to your comfort, ability and the conditions.
What if I have a medical condition?
All participants complete a medical questionnaire. Your answers may require a physician’s approval before diving. If you have a medical condition or take medication, contact us before booking so you have time to obtain any required medical clearance.
What is included in the experience?
Your experience includes the required PADI theory and registration, full diving equipment, small-group instruction, shallow-water skills practice, one guided dive and the boat trip. A second dive, if available and approved by your instructor, is an optional extra at the price shown on this page.
How long does the boat trip last?
The boat departs at 10:00 and returns around 14:00, approximately four hours later. Please also allow for the 09:00–10:00 preparation at the Dive Center before departure.
