PADI Courses FAQ

Can I start PADI eLearning before arriving in Paros?

Yes. Complete the knowledge-development portion online at your own pace before practical training. Use the existing official PADI Store links on this page, connected to Paros Elite Store #30213. Course eLearning is purchased separately; this is different from the included same-morning theory for Discover Scuba Diving.

How does the practical training work?

Your instructor guides you through the skills and dives required for your chosen course. Training progresses according to the course requirements and your readiness. The course sections above show the practical programme and duration.

What are the course prerequisites?

Prerequisites vary by course and may include prior certification, logged dives and first-aid training. Before booking, tell us your current certification and experience so we can confirm the requirements for the programme you choose.

What is the minimum age for a PADI course?

Minimum ages depend on the course. Open Water Diver can start from age 10, with junior restrictions. Please contact us with the student’s age and chosen course so we can confirm eligibility and the applicable limits.

Are there medical requirements?

All student divers complete a medical questionnaire. A physician’s approval may be required based on the answers. Please raise any medical questions before booking and obtain any required clearance before in-water training.

Is diving equipment included?

Standard diving equipment is included as described in each course section. Any specialty-specific equipment, including camera requirements, is confirmed when booking.

How is my course schedule arranged?

We confirm the practical schedule for your chosen course when booking, using the durations shown above. For the standard boat trip, meet at 09:00 for preparation until 10:00; departure is at 10:00, the dive briefing is onboard after departure and return is around 14:00. Your course-specific training schedule is confirmed separately.

Can the Wreck Diver Specialty run if there is wind?

Wreck dives are conducted only in windless conditions. This is a strict requirement for the wreck dives needed for the PADI Wreck Diver Specialty. If there is wind, the wreck-diving part cannot take place and must be rescheduled or the schedule adapted.
